Practice Plover: Even Better

I last blogged about PracticePlover.com back in December, when it was fairly new. But it's expanded quite a bit since then, and continues to be a really valuable resource for people who want comprehensive exercises and Plover theory reinforcement with detailed realtime feedback. If you haven't been there in a while, it's very much worth revisiting!

StenoDoom

Paul has figured out a way to make a typing mod of the classic shooter Doom compatible with steno, especially if you have a Georgi. If the idea of that appeals to you, give it a try!

StenoJam!

The magnificent Peter of Uni fame has done it again! Frustrated that the steno rhythm game Steno Hero isn't easily playable on a Mac, Peter rigged up a similar web-based app that uses embedded YouTube videos with optional prefilled lyrics to compare against. It doesn't give you points based on your rhythmic accuracy, unlike Steno Hero, but it's great for music-based steno practice using any embeddable song on YouTube, which covers an awful lot of territory. Check out Peter's blog post about it, and then go try it out!
