Creator's blog for Plover, the open source stenographic program.
When will Stenosaurus become available for purchase? I've been following the Plover project for a long time now, and I have tried to use an NKRO keyboard to start stenoing, but the staggered layout makes it very difficult to press mutiple keys at once. I've looked at "ortholinear" keyboards like the Planck, but I don't know how to solder, and I haven't seen any reviews of the Terminus Mini 2, which doesn't require soldering apparently. The steno engine looks mature, but the keyboard needs work. The Stenosaurus looks like it could solve that problem, but I haven't seen any updates since April 2016. Has the project been abandoned? Is it in need of money? I really want to see the Stenosaurus released, so that I can learn to steno with ease.
Dunno if the Stenosaurus is happening or not (haven't heard from Josh in a long time), but I recommend that you buy a StenoMod or SOFT/HRUF! My favorite is the StenoMod.
