TL;DR: Javelin web tools should work offline again.
When Javelin was first created, the web tools could be used offline. That worked for a couple of years, but due to changes in the dependencies, it stopped working a while ago.
Today's web build should restore offline usage of the web tools again. You'll need to make sure you're on a recent version of the website first (easiest seen on the create firmware page - it should show 2026-08-08 or later), after that, I expect that you should be able to use it without an internet connection.

Steno Video Art?
Please enjoy this somewhat cryptic video by Lima from the Discord. I'm pretty sure it's art. Whatever it is, it's certainly arresting.

Steno Article on SFWA.org!
JD Henning just wrote a wonderful article for the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers Association called A 23-Button Stenography Keyboard: All Gain, Zero Pain! As someone who's in the process of revising a 130,000-word science fiction novel, entirely written via steno machine, I was so happy to read this! I hope it brings a lot more people to steno!!
